Zoo Cookies- Giraffe, Lion and Elephant Cookies

The other day I shared how to hand cut dough so you can make a cookie out of almost any shape you find. If you look around in craft stores, they have many shapes that are perfect for cookies.  I like it because it gives you the outline and you can use your own creativity to design and personalize the cookies.

Lion Giraffe and Lion CookiesThe shapes I found were really cute so I just used them as the pattern. I even got to play with the airbrush gun a little. That always makes for a good day.

Lion Giraffe and Lion Cookies

Lion Giraffe and Lion CookiesI had to use a yellow edible marker to make the face. I didn’t want it to go all wonky on me.
With the blue icing, outline the elephant.
Flood the ears and tail and sprinkle with sanding sugar.

Lion Giraffe and Lion CookiesDid you know you can airbrush sanding sugar? You can and it is cute. Once the ears and tail have dried a bit, airbrush with the sky blue airbrush color.
Then, flood the face and and the eyes. Let it dry some and airbrush with the sky blue airbrush color

Giraffe, Lion and Elephant CookiesI enjoy going to craft stores to find inspiration for cookies. It seems like they add a bunch during the holidays also. Keep and eye out and let me know if you find something good.

Happy Creating,
