Peach Cobbler Recipe
Did you know today is “National Peach Cobbler Day?” I didn’t until a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been making and eating peach cobbler ever since I can remember. My mom or grandmother made it often and they used a peach cobbler recipe that’s so simple they’d let me help. All I had to do was grab the recipe box and count down the seconds until the fun baking times happened.
I don’t know about you, but helping in the kitchen was a big deal. It gave me confidence and sparked my creativity not to mention the fun times we had while baking. I don’t know what happened to my grandmother’s recipe box when she died but I would love to have it now. It would be worth its weight in gold and I am sure it would bring back great memories with each recipe.
Do you have childhood memories that were created in the kitchen? Did you get to bake with your mom or grandma? If you do, are you going to carry on the fun with your kids and grandkids? I’m working on a plan for my grandkids and it will begin with National Peach Cobbler Day. It’s going to be added to the list of days we need to celebrate because who doesn’t love a good peach cobbler?
How cute would it be to make individual peach cobbles for each kid so they could eat the entire bowl with a little bit of vanilla ice cream? Maybe we can all wish for a National Peach Ice Cream day because anything peach needs to be celebrated!
Happy “National Peach Cobbler Day!” Now use this recipe for your family and neighbors. They will love ya for it.

Bear hugs,
Yum! This is my favorite way to make and eat Peach cobbler. 🙂
Your peach cobbler looks delicious, thanks for the recipe!
It looks delicious! I’m always looking for recipes that my four-year-old can help me make, and you’re mom and grandmother had the right idea; cobblers are perfect recipes for kids to help assemble. Thanks for the recipe! My daughter and I will definitely try it when we go peach picking this summer.
Yum! I love cobblers, crisps, crumbles – all of those fruity, cakey concoctions! 🙂
I didn’t know I loved Peach Cobbler until I made it last fall – now I am a Peach Cobbler Lova! Thanks for the easy peasy recipe!
Oh, how I love peach cobbler! This looks like summer to me. Why in the world would they have National Peach Cobbler Day when it isn’t even peach season? Maybe so that last season’s crop of canned peaches would get used up before the new crop? Not really important. Eating cobbler is the important part. 🙂
Can you substitute fresh peaches and what should we know to try it that way?
Thanks for the beautiful picture….I’m drooling here.
Annabelle, I have never used fresh peaches because my mom and grandma always said I needed the juice. I will buy fresh peaches next time I make it and let you know the results.
