Storing Sprinkles by Recycling

This is not an earth shattering post or anything but, I wanted to share it with you. Do you remember when I made these starfish cookies? To achieve the look I was going for I mixed several kinds of sprinkles. I have a cabinet full of sprinkles so I have to be creative. I used all the vanilla extract and saved the bottle. It is the perfect size for storing sprinkles you mix.

Storing Sprinkles the simple way thebearfootbaker.comI didn’t have a lot left over so this was just what I needed.

Storing-Sprinkles-by thebearfootbaker.comI used a big container to mix but it is not ideal for storage because I am trying to limit my collection to one cabinet. Fingers crossed that I can stop buying them every time I see them in the store. Seriously, there is something about those colorful little bottles that make me lose control until I have several in my cart. The same goes for Fall magazines. I am not usually an impulse buyer but, those magazines with all the beautiful fall colors and the colorful sprinkles leave me helpless.

I told you this “Storing Sprinkles” post was not earth shattering but I need to feel organized and what better way to recycle those cute little McCormick bottles.
