Monster Cake Pops & Link Party
Today is “Template Tuesday” and I have some new templates for you and I will share them Thursday. Today I want to revisit my favorite royal icing transfers. I love having jars full of eyes for projects like these monster cake pops. Having royal icing eyes on hand makes projects like this a piece of cake. Or should I have said a piece of cake pop?
I feel like I share a lot of templates with you but, I also want to share different ways you can use them. These monster cake pops are a perfect way to think outside of the box. We know transfers can be added to cookies, cupcakes and cakes and now we can add cake pops to the list. Having transfers on hand makes projects like this fun and easy.
Supplies for Monster Cake Pops:
Candy Melts in the color of your choice.
Sprinkles to match the candy melts
Candy Sticks
Royal Icing Eyes and Template (I always have several sizes on hand for projects like this one.)
For instructions to make the cake pops, watch this wonderful video by Bakerella: How to Make Cake Pops
To make these, I followed Bakerella’s step by step cake pop video. The only difference is you need to add the royal icing eye transfer before  adding the sprinkles. I was amazed how fast I could crank these pops out. Since my royal icing eyes were made a few weeks ago, I only had to focus on the pops and what color of sprinkles I wanted to use.
Do you use Royal Icing Transfers? Do you make cakes, cupcakes, cake pops or cookies? Do you bake? If you do, I would love to see what you have been working on and hope you will share your photos here at the link party.
The rules are simple:
1. It must be something you created!!
2. The link must go directly to your post, or your photo and not your Facebook homepage.
3. Nice stuff only, seriously, kids could be watching! And Santa is always watching!
4. Please no ads for shops, giveaways, etc… They will be deleted.
If you see something you like, leave a nice comment because we all like to hear nice things!
Can’t wait to see your beautiful creations!
Bear hugs,
So cute! I love using royal icing transfers – it makes things so much easier!
I love royal icing transfers! I posted my two most recent projects that use transfers at the link party (I’ve been missing your parties lately, Lisa! So glad they’re back!)! Also, Jennifer’s little sharks are adorable!!
Hi Lisa,
These are so adorable!
Always love your royal transfers – my eyes popped out of my head when I saw your cute monster pops! 🙂 Thanks for the linky party!
I love these cake pops! They have such a monster effect when you group them together like that. Also, there’s something calming about making royal icing transfers. Maybe its the repetitive motions, but I love making them. 🙂
Your monster pops are so cute! I love all the colors too. Thanks for hosting the party, Lisa!
These cake pops are adorable! Just “creepy” enough for Halloween, but still cute enough for my little girls to enjoy them. I need to do a huge batch of RI eyes, but I’m still too nervous to make any cookies with faces. Maybe this monster is a good place to start! Thanks for sharing such a great Halloween treat!
Great job…these are too cute! I have never made cake pops, maybe I should give it a try! TFS!
I can confess with certainty, this is the first and only time in my life that I have wanted to eat eyeballs.
You really should eat some! They are really good 😉
