Apple Rings Recipe à La Mode with Caramel Sauce

Apple Rings Recipe à La Mode with Caramel Sauce | The Bearfoot Baker

I love spending time with my family. Everyone is so busy these days and it seems as if the only time we get together on holidays. Well, yesterday was Easter and hanging out with my kids and grandson made me nostalgic for the days when I was a little girl. I would go to grandmas house and run around playing football with my cousins (I told you I was a tomboy). We would eat wonderful food and delicious desserts like good old fashioned apple rings. Then, we would head outside to see who’s team we were going to be on for the big game. Those were the days.

  1. Core the apples with an apple corer and slice them into thin slices.
  2. Cut the center of each slice with a small circle cookie cutter or the large end of a cupcake piping tip.
  3. Dip each slice into the egg until covered well.
  4. Then roll them into the flour mixture and cover well.
