Turkey Cookies with an Acorn Cutter

I am ready for Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays because it’s a wonderful time for family to get together and hang out, catch up on each others lives, play a little backyard football and eat all the turkey you can stand. I do enjoy a good game of football as long as I don’t get tackled. Although that would make for a memorable holiday. I chose to make holiday memories with cookies instead. The large turkey you have to wake up at 3 am to make may have a little competition if you if you make these easy turkey cookies by using an acorn cutter.

I know you have probably seen these turkey cookies before but I wanted to make them again because they have inspired me to make several turkey cookies with different cookie cutters. During the next couple of weeks, I will share 10 turkeys with 10 different cookie cutters you probably have in your cabinet. Since this is the guy who inspired me to use different cutters, I though he needed his own tutorial.

Finish up the face by piping the snood with the red icing. You can make it as large or small as you want.

I think they know what the future holds for them. They have heard the saying, “Gobble ’till ya wobble” and they know it doesn’t just apply to the main dish.  I bet these guys will be the first to disappear off the dinner table.

Remember to come back and see what other cutters can be used for turkey cookies.
