Decorated Koala Cookies

How to Make Simple Little Decorated Koala Cookies | The Bearfoot Baker

When I was a little girl I wanted to grow a tree in my room so I could get a pet koala bear to live in it. The way I saw things when I was six years old, I could get two pets in one if I got a koala bear because almost every picture of a cute koala bear I saw had a cute little baby koala on it’s back. My plan was perfect. I wouldn’t just get one pet, I would get two! I don’t understand why my parents never got me a koala bear or even a cute little baby koala bear. I would have taken care of it and fed it the leaves that grew on the tree in my room.  It wasn’t hyper like a puppy that would have chewed up all of our shoes. It would have just hung out in the tree and played with me all day.

Now that I am older, I know why I didn’t get a cute koala pet. It doesn’t stop me from wanting one but I do understand. Since I am an adult, I will just make myself some cute koala cookies to help get me over the hole in my hart from the void of never holding, petting or cuddling a koala.

  • To make the koala cookie with the koala cutter, repeat the instructions above.
  • The only thing that changed was the feet. You can make them any way you want to make then. I kinda liked having them both ways.

  • Pretend I added the nose here. I forgot to take a picture but it is exactly like the one on the other koala cookies.

Simple Decorated Koala Cookies | The Bearfoot BakerI didn’t do a tutorial for the leaves, hearts or sticks but they were all outlined and flooded. I wanted to keep it simple and I like the way it turned out. I can’t wait to get a zoo pass and see if they will let me trade cookies for koala hugs! I hope it works!
