When you imagine a fox, think about the cute little nose, the orange and white fluffy tails and don’t even get me started on those big orange eyes. Our fox isn’t going to have big orange eyes but I think you’ll like it almost as much as the real thing. Maybe not but I can promise you these fox cookies will taste way better than a real fox. Not that I would ever eat a real fox but you know what I mean.

Icing Colors:
Orange Fox Colored Icing – AmeriColor Colors- Electric Orange, a small amount of Ivory and Burgundy
White
Black for the nose if you don’t have a royal icing transfer

Tools:
Fox Cookie Cutter
Black 4mm Black Pearl Dragees
Black Royal Icing Transfer for the nose or you can use a dot of black icing, a Sixlet or Black Jelly Bean
Turkey Lacer, Boo Boo Stick or a Toothpick
Food Safe Tweezers

  • Outline the fox head, body and tail with the orange royal icing.
  • Flood the head and body and let it dry for about 30 minutes until the top layer of the icing forms a crust.

  • Next, flood the body with the orange royal icing and let the cookie dry overnight.

  • Then, fill the tail with the white royal icing and use the turkey lacer to pull the icing into points on the tail.

  • Flood the face with the white royal icing.

  • While the white icing is wet, add the black royal icing nose.

  • Add the 4mm dragees for the eyes.
