Cookie Con 2012 was Amazing!
Cookie Con 2012:
Let me start by telling you a little about Cookie Con 2012. Cookie Con 2012 was an international cookie convention that focused on decorated Sugar Cookies. It was hosted by Karen and Mike Summers who own and operate Karen’s Cookies. Mike and Karen created a flawless event where people from all over the world could come together to talk, learn, experiment with all things cookies! This is where we spent most of our time, learning, laughing, talking, laughing, decorating, laughing!! Did I mention laughing? We were at the Double Tree in Salt Lake City, Utah. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable and I didn’t want to leave because little angels made my bed everyday!
There is something I want you to notice! So you see all the women in this picture? They are AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, WONDERFULLY TALENTED AND OH SO NICE!! These ladies were so sweet and kind and they blew me away with their amazing talent! I have seen some of their blogs and cookies on Facebook but, to see their cookies in person! HOLY COW!! You ALL ROCK!! I miss you!! I want you all to come over this weekend for a cookout so I can see you and we can make snow angels for a two hours, then we’ll go ice skating, then we’ll eat a whole roll of Toll House Cookie dough as fast as we can, and then we’ll snuggle. Oh yeah, we will have to watch Elf!
I have read several posts about Cookie Con 2012 and they were all amazing. I don’t know what else to say that hasn’t already been said. I could go on and on about how perfect it was or how much fun it was to play with all the things Karen and Mike brought or how much fun I had or all the new friends I made or how great it was to see old friends. But, I want to do this a different way. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, here is over 50,000 words for ya! I didn’t carry my camera the entire weekend and I am sad I didn’t have more pictures but, here is every picture I took that was not blurry! Hope you enjoy!
I also wanted to say that each and every one of you is my hero! I met people from all over the world that do amazing things with cookies like giving all the profits to a children’s hospice or raise money to feed the homeless. So many of you give to charities! You are changing the world one cookie at a time and it was an honor to meet you!
The only thing left to say is that if there is another Cookie Con, DON’T MISS IT! You will learn, laugh and make friendships that will last a lifetime!

Happy Creating,
Sounds like a cookier’s dream.
I love you too
Love!!!!
I am still dreaming of all the cookies dancing in my head! And you were truly a pleasure to meet too!
Can’t wait for the next one!! Karen and MIke did an amazing job! If they ever decide to leave the baking supply business…they would be incredibly successful planning conventions!
Awww, I can’t believe it’s over…thanks for the wonderful recap, I had more fun then I could have hoped for! Mike and Karen – wow, the two of them are pro’s! Miss you Linky Lou!
I’m intimidated already by seeing all these great cookiers in one room! But, HOW MUCH FUN!
Oh, Lisa! Thanks for this wonderful recap, you are to cute! I love the way you write! Just like chatting with a girlfriend right in front of me. Which, by the way, it was a treat to get to sit with you and your hubby and hear all about your camp in TN, see if you knew where my brother-in-law’s TN town is, and get to know you. Your recap here helped me relive wonderful memories, I wish that weekend could go on and on! Thanks for helping that happen!
Wonderful – makes me want to go back and enjoy it all over again! Thanks Lisa for all your support and kindness. BTW I’m free this weekend so expect me later today!
I will definitely be going if there is another Cookie Con! So sad I couldn’t make it this year!
This looks like such a great time! And I agree, if little angels are making my bed everyday, I’d never want to leave either 😉
Oh, you made me smile ear-to-ear! I love that one of us! Thanks so much for putting this all together!
