Chocolate Moose the Cookie Way!
I don’t get invited to parties a lot but, when I do, I take dessert! I thought I would make a Chocolate Moose to take to a Christmas Party! I am a bit of a prankster sometimes and it gets me into trouble. What goes around comes around so I try to keep that in mind. I don’t think this prank will make anyone want to ants in my bed or anything. What do you think?
Well, what do you expect from a cookie person! Maybe one day I will make a real chocolate moose but for now, this is my kinda moose!
Supplies for Chocolate Moose:
Brown 15 Second Icing
Tan 15 Second Icing
Black Sugar Pearls
Moose Head Cookie Cutter or this one would be cute
Outline the head with the brown icing.
Then, flood with the brown icing and drop in bead eyes. Let dry for a few hours.
Outline and flood the antlers with the tan icing. You can stop here or you can airbrush to give him a little character.
Airbrush the edges of the moose head and antlers with AmeriColor Warm Brown Airbrush Color. For how to use an airbrush gun click here. I had the machine set on Low and held the gun about an inch to an inch and a half away from the moose and gently pulled the trigger. Go all the way around the head and the antlers. For information on how to clean your airbrush gun click here.
Both cookies are cute but, you can see how much difference an airbrush gun makes.
If you are wondering what kind of reaction I get when I show up and tell people I made Chocolate Moose it goes a little like this, “You made Chocolate Mousse.” And then they see it and….
The laughter immediately follows! Just remember, you don’t have to know how to make everything, you just need to know how to make people smile!
Happy Creating,
