Santa Claus Cookies – I Saw Mommy Kissing
Do you like Christmas music? I like it so much I listen to it in July because it is so good it deserves to be heard more than one month a year. As I was listening, “I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus” came on and all I could think about was making Santa Claus cookies with a platter of lips.
The only thing that stopped me from making them soon was how to show the title of the song without writing on the cookies. You see, there is something that I don’t enjoy doing when it comes to cookies. Yep. Something I do not like about them. It is writing one a cookie. I have a goal to make myself like it and I will practice and practice until I get it right but, in the meantime, The Cookie Countess saved the day with an amazing stencil. Thank you Hillary!
It made these this set of cookies so easy and stress free. I want you to notice something else. Can you tell what cutter I used to make the mommy? Look at the Santa cookie. Now turn it upside down. Yep! They are made with the same cutter. I like when things like that happen.

I love the lip cookies that Lila Loa made with a heart cookie cutter so much I had to include them in this platter. You can see her tutorial here. But be warned, she has so many wonderful cookie ideas and tutorial that you my spend the day looking at her blog and forget to pick up the kids from school today. Be sure to set a time so your kids don’t get cold standing outside waiting while you are lost in all of Georganne’s creativity and talent. Alarms are are friends.
Begin by turning the Santa cookie cutter upside down and outline and flood the face with the flesh colored icing.
While the icing is wet, add the edible pearl eyes and the white pearl necklace and earrings. Let it dry for several hours.
Then, outline and flood the hair with the brown icing.
Pipe a small nose with the flesh colored icing and 2 eyebrows with the brown icing.
Make a small “m” with the red icing for the upper lip.
Then, add the bottom lip.
I didn’t take a picture of the outline on the hair but, you can look at the picture blew for a reference.
I also thought she needed a little color on her cheeks so I used some pink luster dust that I applied with a dry brush. Just dip the brush in the dust and rub it in a circle motion where ever you want it.
Santa only has eyes for his Mrs. Claus! No other woman can make cookies like the love of his life!
