Let’s make some bunny cookies!

Bunny Paw Thumbprint Cookies Video:
Would you like to see a video? It will show you how to make the icing since I forgot to take pictures. Sorry about that.
Also, if you forget to set the butter out so it can become room temperature, here is a quick way to soften it up quickly.
Bake the cookies according to the recipe directions on the back of the package. It says “Heat your oven to 375° (or 350° for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). Follow these directions and your cookies will turn out like the cute little bunny paws they are.
To make the cookies all you need to do is follow the directions on the back of the cookie bag. Mix the contents of the bag, the butter, and the egg. It will be a little hard to mix but this is where the kids come in. Let them dig in and mix it up with their little hands. You can put food gloves on them and watch them go crazy.
Time to make some bunny paws:
Next, using a cookie scoop, scoop out the dough into balls and cut them in half.
Roll each half into a ball but, for every one paw print, cut one of the balls into three pieces and roll them for the toes. Again, this is another great project for the little ones.
I know it is tempting to smash them with the measuring spoons but don’t do it yet. It will cause the cookies to spread a lot when they bake.
The large ball for the foot will bake at a slower rate than the toes so to help it bake more evenly, give it a little push. Press down to flatten it a little and bake 6-9 minutes or until they start turning brown.
Time to smash:
When you remove them from the oven, immediately press a measuring spoon to make the indents for the icing.
Add some icing and enjoy:
Once you add the icing to the cookies, let them sit for a few minutes to firm up a little. I plan on taking them to our Easter lunch and I hope they will all hop away!

Thank you for sharing it MyTu! Happy Easter!!!!!
What size scoops do you use and how long to bake these? Does it say on the cookie bag.
Hi Rebecca,
I baked them for 6-9 minutes. When they start to turn a golden brown, remove them from the oven.
You can make any size you want. Just watch them once you place them in the oven so you will know when to remove them.
What temperature? It’s not stated
Hi Celi,
I justed added the temp to the directions. Bake the cookies according to the recipe directions on the back of the package. It says “Heat your oven to 375° (or 350° for dark or nonstick cookie sheets).” Follow these directions and your cookies will turn out like the cute little bunny paws they are.
