7 Halloween Treats That are Fun and Simple
Creaking doors, spooky music, doorbells, wicked laughs, footsteps, sad scary moans, spine-chilling hair-raising screams that make your heart pound! Does this sound like Halloween at your house? Well, it doesn’t sound like that at my house. There is moaning, screaming, wicked laughs and I feel my heart pounding, but the biggest sound you’ll hear is the sound of my mixer beating away making royal icing. I’ve tried to convince myself it sounds like fluttering bat wings, but let’s face it, that’s not the case. It’s just me trying to finish all the Halloween treats I need.
Does this sound familiar? Isn’t it funny how much things change when you grow up? The creaking doors and wicked laughs meant I could dress up in weird costumes and go knock on strangers doors and get candy. Now I spend weeks before October 31st making things to give away. That’s the great thing about making cookies, you never have to grow up!
I have 7 Halloween treats to share with you and not all of them are cookies. Frankenstein and his bride are cupcakes that wanted to join the party and if you’re looking for a way to get the kiddos (or hubby) eating more fruit, there are four different flavors of monster smoothies to help achieve your goal. Let’s see how you can change the sounds of Halloween from moaning to laughing because your kids are so happy with their goodies!
