I have been wanting to try using an airbrush soon. It is good to know that if you put your finger over the nozzle and then pull the trigger it will help clean it out. That is a great thing for me to know because if I get an airbrush I would want to take good care of it.

Hi Susan,

I don’t know if you can freeze Americolor food gels. You may need to contact them and ask. I’ve never been able to keep it long enough to freeze. 😉

Can I freeze americolour airbrush cololurs so that it will stay lo get. Some are already 2 years old. Please advice

Hi Lisa,

I’ve had people ask me this question with cookies and I made a box to use with a new vacuum cleaner. Here is the link: https://thebearfootbaker.com/2012/12/brighten-you-photos-with-an-airbrush-gun-station/

I slide the hose into the back of the box and turn it on and it will pull the airbrush mist into the vacuum cleaner as you spray your cake. I know this is extreme but sometimes you need to be extreme to keep your house in order. LOL

I bought a spray gun for a particular project using a dark blue. It was a 3 tier cake. I loved it and was very please with the cake. My husband fashioned a big cardboard box into which I sat the cake. After finishing the cake, and for months later, I found a blue film and tint on everything in my house. How can I use my spray gun without tinting my whole house?

Hi Maryse,

I think the trigger or the needle needs to be adjusted. Since the gun has a spring loaded trigger problems con occur but it is an easy fix. If you watch the video Mike from Karen’s Cookie made, you should be able to determine the problem and fix it.

Hi there! So my husband wants to get me an airbrush for my birthday and I love all of the good info on the pegasus, but is it really worth almost double the price of most others? If it’s way easier to clean and more consistent, etc, then that’s great.

I really have no idea of what to look for, just wanting some feedback on whether or not it’s worth the extra $70! Thanks so much 🙂
