I have my own personal airgun, I love it. I am a cake decorator & have used several different guns over the years. In a retail setting the guns are used 7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. I know a lot about maintenance on them. You video is great. However, what about a video on the changing the fluid nozzle & the lever. The trigger lever can really be ruff. I’d like to see an easy way of fixing this. When you work in a production shop, it’s ruff to stop & fix the gun. We have back ups, but changing over the hoses, etc takes time too. Right now the gun will sometimes spray continuous. I cleaned the needle, seemed to help. But I’m sure it will happen again. Any suggestions?

Hi Danielle,

I know exactly what your talking about. After all that piping and flooding you don’t want to ruin your cookie by trying to spray a small area only to mess up the cookie.

Someone told me to buy a coloring book and practice airbrushing on the pages. It really helps you get the feel of your airbrush and helps you know how far away to hold the gun from the cookie. If you don’t have a coloring book, print some coloring images off your computer and give it a try.

Also, practice with the settings on the airbrush system to see what speed you prefer. I think this will really help you with how to use your airbrush gun and to know how much distance you need in between the cookie and the gun.

I bought my airbrush from cookie countess. I love it but I don’t know how to get small areas without overspraying .. for instance, I’ve seen cookies that have a small airbrushed section in the middle. How close do I have to get to accomplish that look? It scares me to get too close!

I bought the new airbrush that Lisa from the “Bearfoot Baker” recommended. Practiced with it yesterday…I am in airbrush heaven!!!!!! Thank you Lisa for always looking out for your fellow cookie crafters!!!!!
