Yep, Maryland’s state flower! I remember being in the woods as a little girl and just about to start picking them when my cousin stopped me. She told me that it was against the law because they’re the state flower! I grew up thinking that Black-Eyed Susans were something precious. Still love them!

LOL Christin! When I was a little girl, I called them “One Eyed Susan’s!” Well, to me they only had one eye and it wasn’t really black!!

Your iris cookies are amazing! I was glad I didn’t get that flower because I would have been clueless! You make it look so easy and absolutely perfect!!!
