Thanks for making an informative post and video. You made it look so simple! I never seem to be able to hold my knife perfectly parallel to the base of the cake. Maybe I’ll do better if I make marks around the perimeter of the cake, like you do, and then use those to guide the blade of the knife. You are so smart!
