Tavette,

If I had been there, I would have gone crazy over your cake! I think sparklers make things better. I do understand the panic that stuck your dad and guy friend. My did would have done the same thing! LOL Until they make some safe indoor sparkler (that will never happen) we should only light them outside!

I thought I had put that in the tutuorial but I guess I didn't. I added it thanks to your reminder. Thank you.

Your sparkling cookies brought back memories. Many years ago when 30 seemed old - oh my - sure not saying that any more.......I made a birthday cake for a 30 year celebration and was so excited to bring it to the dining room table with the sparklers all aglow.

Instead of raving about what a wonderful idea that was my birthday guy friend & my father jumped out of their chairs & started yelling at me.

Apparently you can burn a house down in minutes by lighting sparklers inside. Who knew?

So - PLEASE make sure your readers only light sparklers at an OUTDOOR EVENT and even then - be careful.

For me it was a lesson learned, years ago, but I still remember all the commotion and how my seemingly good idea could have gone so horribly wrong. I haven't lighted a sparkler since then.
