In reply to Mike @ Semi Sweet. Thanks Mike! I pick a ripe watermelon by looking for a yellow bottom. If the melon has stayed on the vine until it is ripe, the bottom becomes yellow and you will have yourself the best summer snack EVER!

Just a reminder, place the royal icing watermelons on the cupcakes just before the party so the green and red won't bleed onto the cupcakes.

Could your post come at a more perfect time? I’m having my daughter’s first birthday next weekend and the theme is…watermelons! I may have to whip up some of these as cupcake toppers. I’m already planning to make Sugar Belle’s watermelon slice cookies. Thanks for the six templates! You’ve outdone yourself!

Another great RI transfer set, Lisa! And you’re right, watermelon is the perfect summer snack. Now, can you tell me the right way to pick a sweet and ripe melon from the grocery store? I have the worse luck with that. 🙂

In reply to Milena D.. I add the RI Transfers to my cupcakes right before the event. I add them at the last minute and don't have to worry about the icing making them bleed. What kind of icing did you use?
