Hi, Trying to figure out what to use on the back of these cookies to hang them on a cup. Your instructions say to go to Mike @ Semi Sweets. However, when I click on the link, it says that pages is not available.
I am desperate to learn the method. Want to do something for a party.
Thanks so much. . .LOVE your site!

Hi Nancy,

You can place them in front of a fan to help them dry faster. Also, keep in mind you can add more powdered sugar if you make the icing too thin. ;)

Thank you again for the perfect royal icing. But I made my flood icing a bit to thin I used it anyway. My question is it's taking a while to harden it was very damp here yesterday is there anything I can do to make it harden quicker

Hi Natalie,

The good thing about sugar cookies is they stay fresh for weeks if you store them in an airtight container. Once you decorate them, let them dry completely and then store them. If you place them in an airtight container before the icing is dry, it will do weird things to them. I like to give the cookies when they are a week old or less.

Here is a good post by Bridget at Bake at 350:http://bakeat350.blogspot.com/2010/01/f-q-s.html There is a lot of great information in that post and she talks about storing and freezing decorated cookies.

Hi Doug,

Here is a good set of cutters with a simple stocking design: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004Y67T?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393177&creativeASIN=B00004Y67T&linkCode=shr&tag=thebeabak08-20&linkId=LQP7IBJX4IW2TFU2&qid=1407033599&sr=8-10&keywords=stocking+cookie+cutter

It is a Wilton cutter and they may stock them in stores soon so you don't have to pay shipping. :)
