Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Bar Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick of butter room temperature
  • 1 pound of confectioner's sugar
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese room temperature
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  • Before you begin baking, cut a piece of parchment paper and line your baking dish. Set it aside.
  • Mix the box of cake mix with the butter and one egg until it forms a dough.
  • Press the dough into the lined 9x9 cake pan and set it aside.
  • Mix the confectioner's sugar, two eggs, and cream cheese until well combined.
  • Pour it over the dough in the 9x9" pan and bake it at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes. You want the edges to be golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool before you slice it.
