Sugar Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

Do you have a sugar cookie recipe? If you do, use it to make sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting. They're delicious and they'll make everyone happy!

Servings 35 -40 cookies

Ingredients

For the cookies:

  • 2 sticks 8 ounces of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups 17 ounces of All-Purpose Flour

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 ounces of cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups of confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Instructions

For the Sugar Cookies:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Begin by placing the flour in a bowl and set it aside.
  • Place butter in a bowl and beat until smooth.
  • Cream the sugar and butter.
  • Add eggs one at a time mixing well in between each addition.
  • Add the vanilla, salt and baking powder and mix
  • Mix in the flour one cup at a time and mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop and place the dough on a lined baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  • Use a glass dipped into sugar to press down the dough.
  • Use a measuring cup to make the indention on each cookie.
  • Bake 6-9 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • Place the softened cream cheese and butter in a bowl.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • Add the confectioners' sugar and mix until it's smooth.
  • Add the pure vanilla extract.
  • Mix until smooth.
  • Add your favorite color and frost the cookies once they are cool.
