I can’t believe that 2018 is almost over. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing in the new year with cute balloons and confetti cookies. I haven’t felt well this December and didn’t get to make as many cookies as I wanted, but you know what? Tomorrow starts a new year so I wanted to share a few of my 2018 favorite cookies with you as we say goodbye 2018 and hello 2019. Thank you for all your support and love and I can’t wait to share our cookie journey in 2019!

I am all about party favors for my guests as long as they are simple, fun and unique. That is why I love these confetti cookies. Place some mini sugar cookies in a cute little favor tube and you have a unique favor your guest will remember.

Sprinkle Sugar Cookies

What’s better than a good old sugar cookie? Sprinkle sugar cookies of course! Take a simple sugar cookie recipe and add any color combination of sprinkles to make festive cookies for holidays and special occasions. Red, green and white sprinkles for Christmas cookies or orange and black for Halloween cookies or you can add someone’s favorite colors for special birthday cookies.

How to Make Star Cookies that Actually Sparkle

Do you ever shoot off fireworks? If you don’t, let me encourage you to try it this year. I am one of the lucky ones that get to help set off the fireworks at the camp 4th of July Celebration. It is a massive show and there is never a dull moment. It takes timing, communication and a lake to jump into incase something goes wrong like when I accidentally shot my son Tylor with a roman candle. It sure was nice having a lake for him to jump into.

Incase you are wondering, yes that is a true story and Tylor wasn’t hurt. The container for the roman candle fell over after the first fiery burst shot out of it and Tylor happened to be in the direct line of fire as the second flaming ball shot out of the tube. He ran into the lake and wasn’t hurt at all.

Now I am not suggestion you set your son on fire this July 4th, but you can make these star cookies that actually sparkle to place on your holiday table. They are easy to make and your guests will get a bang out of them!

Animal Cookies – The End is Near!

The End Is NEAR! It is almost a NEW YEAR! We did it! We celebrated 2014 by watching the ball drop in Time Square and now we are ready to do it again with 2015. We are going to celebrate another New Year and what better way to do it than with cute little animal cookies. These aren’t just any old animal cookies. Nope. They are showing us the end is near by showing us their cute little bottoms. Last year is almost “behind”us and we will march into the future ready to tackle our goals and dreams. Are you with me?

The Best of 2012

Happy New Year Cookies

Is it just me or does anyone one else need more time between Christmas and New Year? I really wish I had a few more days to make some detailed cookies but I don’t have a lot of time and I need cookies fast. This is what I cam up with.

These cookies are so simple and super fast. I didn’t want a design that had a lot of drying time but I wanted some sparkle and fun.
