These are adorable. I just want to thank you for taking the time to actually do a step by step tutorial with such each to follow pictures. (This is by far the best site I’ve been on so far.) I’m just learning and it’s so very helpful. I only hope I can one day make them as good as you. Today, mine are more blobs. But practice, practice, practice. 🙂 Many thanks again for such a great little site.

You are so darned clever. I hope that I can implement some of your clever ideas and maybe even eventually brainstorm a few of my own! I’m up in Cape Breton and ordering cookie cutters and supplies gets pretty expensive with the added postage.

In reply to mylittlemod. I piece cookies together all the time and I don't have problems. I even ship them and they have not been broken. I hope you try this method. It is much easier than RI transfers.

Hi there, your cookies look fantastic and this is exactly what I am looking for. I kind of thought about this and then assumed that the crown and frog wouldn’t attach very well and might snap off. Do you find that the attached pieces merged a little during baking to make them strong enough? I have tried making royal icing transfers (which all took ages to dry and broke!), I have tried handcutting smaller frogs using a template from a kids’ book traced on to baking paper but it’s fiddly and I need to cut about 20 so also very time consuming! Thanks

Hi Carol! I do not use corn syrup in my icing. I follow Sweet Sugar Belle’s blog and a while back she posted this:http://www.sweetsugarbelle.com/blog/2011/04/my-1-fan-wfmw/
If you put a fan on your cookies it makes them dry shiny. It works every time! Hope you try it and check out her blog! It is amazing:)
