Blueberry Cobbler Recipe

Fresh summer berries make best cobblers you'll ever eat. This blueberry cobbler recipe is simple and delicious. Add a dash of cinnamon and a little lemon juice to make this cobbler a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • Blueberries
  • 6 cups of blueberries
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon  of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • Juice and zest from one lemon
  • Batter
  • 1 cup of self-rising flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 stick 4 ounces of butter
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  • Blueberries
  • Pour washed blueberries into a pan and sprinkle with sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon zest.
  • Slice lemon in half and squeeze the juice on the berries and stir.
  • Gently stir the berries until the ingredients are mixed.

  • Place flour, sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix.
  • Add the melted butter and the milk.
  • Stir until combined and pour over the berries.
  • Bake at 350º for 40-50 minutes. Remove from the oven when the top is golden brown.
