Peach Cobbler Recipe
Did you know today is “National Peach Cobbler Day?” I didn’t until a few days ago and I am so glad it is. I have been making and eating peach cobbler every since I can remember. My mom or grandmother made it often and they used a simple peach cobbler recipe that’s so simple they would let me help. They would tell me to grab the recipe box and I knew that fun baking times were about to happen. I don’t know about you but helping in the kitchen as a big deal. It gave me confidence and sparked my creativity not to mention the fun times we had while baking. I don’t know what happened to my grandmothers recipe box when she died but I would love to have it now. It would be worth it’s weight in gold and I am sure it would bring back great memories with each recipe.

I plan on having baking parties with my grandkids and National Peach Cobbler Day is going to be added to list of days we need to celebrate. How cute would it be to make individual peach cobbles for each kid. Maybe we can all wish for a National Peach Ice Cream day because anything peach needs to be celebrated!

Peach Cobbler Recipe
An old fashioned southern style peach cobbler recipe that is sure to become your favorite. It is delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- 1-29 oz can of peaches with the juice
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of self rising flour
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour peaches with the juice in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan and set aside. Mix sugar, flour, butter and milk in a medium bowl. Pour over the peaches and bake at 350 degrees until it is golden brown about 45-55 minutes.
