Orange Julius Popsicle Recipe
Happy Memorial Day! I want to kick off the summer with an Orange Julius Popsicle Recipe. Have you ever had an Orange Julius? This popsicle is like the drink you get in the mall. If you have never had one they are sweet, smooth, creamy, vanilla and orange drink that is a perfect treat for hot summer day. You can make one now and enjoy it in a few hours.
I hope you have a fun day planned with you family and many more “Lazy Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer” ahead but first, I want us to remember those who have served in the armed forces that made the ultimate sacrifice to serve the United States. It is a day to remember those that have died for our freedom. Please take some time today to honor our veterans and tell someone in the military how much we appreciate what they do for us.
Orange Julius Popsicle Recipe:
- 2 cups of Orange Juice
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 cups of ice
- Mix all the ingredients in a blender and pour into a popsicle mold. Place in freezer for at least 3 hours or overnight. Makes about 16 popsicles.
I added 3 cups of ice to this Orange Julius Popsicle Recipe because ice is a key ingredient in the drink. If it is important to the drink, then I thought it should be included in the popsicle recipe.
Let’s talk about the popsicle molds for a minute. I went to World Market and saw a bunch of them sitting on the shelf and and had to buy one. Each mold makes 10 popsicles at a time and I regret not buying 2 or 3. I am going to go back for more because I plan on making a bunch of fresh fruit popsicles this summer. It is a great way to make yourself a refreshing healthy snack without added sugar.
