Stocking Place Card Cookies that Hang on a Cup
You all liked the Santa’s so much yesterday that I decided to share one more hanging cup cookies with you! I have seen some really cute Christmas place cards on Pinterest and they inspired these stocking place card cookies. I am so excited about these.
Supplies for Stocking Place Card Cookies:
Red and White 15 Second Icing
Food Safe Pen
White Sanding Sugar (optional)
Stocking cookie cutter (Check your cup to make sure it is the right size and doesn’t touch the table.)
A cookie hook for each cookie like Mike at Semi Sweets made. Click here for the pattern and to see how to attach it to the cookie.
These cookies are so simple and great for beginners. I think they would make perfect for teacher, principal and secretary gifts. Add names to the cookie and fill the mug with candy or school supplies. Wrap it in a cute clear gift bag and carefully deliver it.
Outline and flood the top of the stocking with white icing. If you don’t want to write names on the cookies then, you can just outline and flood them or, you can add some white sanding sugar. Let them dry overnight. If you try to rush this part, the white icing may absorb the red from the stocking or the black from the food safe pen. I know it is hard but be patient.
Next, outline and flood the bottom of the stocking. Let them dry overnight and add a hook following Mike’s directions.
I love simple cookies and simple gifts. I think I am going to make a few of these for the volunteers around camp. I am going to fill the cups with 2 packs of hot chocolate and make some of those cute marshmallows to float on top.
