However, it’s not all fun and games because we must watch out for sharks, stingrays, and jellyfish. They do have a bit of a sting, and that’s no fun. If you bake sugar cookies in the safety of your kitchen, you don’t have to worry about that. You need to worry about making enough cookies for your loved ones and clients to eat. That’s much better than getting bitten by a shark or a wicked sting from  another ocean animal.

Decorating cookies is a good way to express yourself any time of the year with any design you dream of.  If we can make Santa in the summer I guess we can make crab cookies at Christmas time. Wouldn’t these little guys look good with a set of hammerhead sharks,  jellyfish cookies, or Crazy Santa Shark Cookies? Okay, I’m going to the kitchen to bake so I can make a fun beach set of cookies with cute crab, hammerheads, sharks and jellyfish.

Keep in mind it doesn’t matter when you make summer and animal cookies as long as you have fun while baking and decorating them!

This morning as I was finishing the tutorial my husband walked into the kitchen and asked me what I was working on. When I told him he told me about two shark attacks yesterday and Florida and my heart sank. I looked online to see what happened.

I feel really bad and I’m praying for those who have been involved in shark attacks. As you may have seen on the news, yesterday a 23-year-old man was bitten on the elbow by a shark while surfing in Jacksonville, Flordia, and 100 miles down the coast at Smyrna Beach, a 49-year-old man who was boogie boarding was bitten.

The report I saw on the Today website said neither man was badly injured. I hope both men are alright and don’t have any long-term issues.

Have you seen it? Maybe you’ve only seen it on tv, but when that sharp gray fin pops up out of the ocean water you know exactly what’s lurking under the surface. A SHARK! It’s probably the single most terrifying thing you can see while swimming. Even if you’re watching tv or a movie, you have to yell at the person who doesn’t see what’s lurking behind them so you can help save them from a shark bite. Well, today we are going to be taking a bite out of a shark fin cookies so the sharks need to watch out for us.

Hammerhead Shark Cookies are really interesting because there are nine species of hammerhead sharks. The great hammerhead is the largest, and typically measures about 13 feet long and weighs about 500 pounds. Did you know that they live on average 25 to 35 years? That’s pretty interesting to me!

Shark week 2017 has shown a lot of videos about Hammerheads sharks this year so I thought it would be appropriate to share a few fun Hammerhead shark cookies with ya.

A few years ago I made Simple Little Jellyfish Cookies and had fun adding a little airbrush color around the edges. Then, later I made some Girly Bat Cookies and had the idea to combine the two ideas to make these Girly Jelly Fish Cookies because it sounded like fun! If you add polka dots they become even more interesting and fun!

A few weeks ago I had someone ask me to make little mermaid cookies for them. I don’t have a mermaid cutter so I turned to Google to see if I could purchase one. I didn’t see any that I liked enough to order. Thinking back, I have seen people use fish cookie cutters to make them, but I wanted to use a different cookie cutter.
