How to Make Easy Egg Cookies with a Video

I have a thing for eggs, but I can’t describe it. If I’m being honest, I don’t really know what it is because I’m been trying to figure it out. It’s not like I give them names or paint cute faces on the shells, but I think eggs are pretty. The pure white with the gorgeous yellow yolk sitting on top waiting for you to pop is mesmerizing.

Somehow the light always makes the top look like it’s glowing so I don’t want to eat them because they’re so pretty. It’s like some kind of art from nature that puts me in my happy place for a few minutes. So if eggs make me feel that happy, egg cookies have got to make me feel even better!

Are you ready for breakfast?

Easy Egg Cookies Video:

This video makes me want toast because you’ve got to have toast with your eggs.

I’ve been trying to make breakfast cookies for quite some time, but for some reason, I haven’t been able to pull it off. There were plans to use a wonky shaped flower cutter and even a cute little cloud cutter. You see, with the hundreds of cutters I own there isn’t one egg among them. Yes, I have Easter egg cutters, but that doesn’t count for a good old fried egg.

No egg cutter! What’s a girl to do? That was until now! Sweet Sugarbelle’s We Go Together Set changed all that with her cute Bacon and Egg Kit. You don’t even have to think about the design. Just make the cookies, use the templates, add some royal icing, and you have yourself an adorable little egg cookie. It’s that simple.

Remember when I told you I have a thing for eggs? Look at the first picture because I wasn’t joking!

  • Begin by outlining and flooding the eggs with the white royal icing.
  • Let the icing dry completely.
  • Trace the yolk pattern onto the cookies with a food-safe marker so it’ll be easy to know where to pipe the yellow royal icing.
  • Pipe the yolk and while the icing is wet, add a line with the lighter yellow icing so it’ll make it look like it’s highlighted.
  • Use the turkey lacer to pull the tails of the icing around the yolk so it looks like the sun is shining on it.
  • Let it dry completely.

Incredible Edible Egg’s are good, but egg cookies are even more incredible!
