Tom Turkey Cookies for Thanksgiving
Well here they are. The last turkeys in my 10 turkey series. Meet the Tom Turkey cookies.
When I started this challenge, I had a few rules I set for myself. First, I knew what I wanted to show that it is possible to use one set of icing colors, ten different cookie cutters, and your imagination to make some fun cute turkeys cookies. I didn’t change the cookie cutters in any way by cutting, trimming, or reshaping them and I made the design work within each specific cookie cutter. The icing colors are the same on all of the turkeys and I tried to do it in ten days, but hey, life happens and sometimes things take a bit longer.

- Then, make the snood with the red icing.
- Let it dry completely.
Before we move on, I want you to look at the Tom Turkey cookies in the photo above. Look at the first bird. Imagine it with green icing. Doesn’t it look like the Grinch? There is another idea for this cookie cutter.
I hope you have enjoyed the 10 turkey cookies as much as I have. I am sad that it is over now. Who knows, maybe we can do it for another holiday. But next time, I want you to make the cookies with me. I bet we could come up with hundreds of ideas.
Before we say goodbye, these Tom Turkey cookies want to know if you have seen their feathers?

Bear hugs,
Another cute turkey. I really enjoyed seeing how to decorate all 10. I hope you do this again for Christmas:)
I love how you repurpose cookie cutters! Inspires me to think outside of the….cutter. haha
I just love all your turkeys’ faces! I too hope you do this for Christmas (maybe Santas?)!!
How much was this for us??? LOTS!!!! Waited to the end to pick my fav… the DRESS.. into a TURKEY??? Yes that’s the one!!! Thank you for helping with my blog reading addiction 🙂
Another awesome turkey! I am totally loving your turkey series.
I also see this cutter design being a green Grinch head. You should totally do that one! I’d love to see it. 😉
Thanks for this fun series on turkeys. You inspired me to follow your directions for a few and I even came up with some of my own designs. Like Sarah, I too was envisioning a Grinch from this cookie cutter. I guess I am finally beginning to see beyond the original purpose of a cookie cutter.
