Have You Ever Made Crazy Wisdom Teeth Cookies

Do you sill have your wisdom teeth or have you had them removed? I know that’s kind of a personal question, but since we’re making crazy wisdom teeth cookies I thought I’d ask.

My daughter Madison had her wisdom teeth removed about two weeks ago so I went with her and brought her back to my house so I could take care of her. At times she was in pain and she was pretty tired after the surgery, but she did great. I’m glad she had them removed because now she’s pain-free!

Madison is a teacher and her friends requested we make them some cookies to celebrate the event, of course, wisdom teeth cookies were suggested. Once Madison started feeling better we baked and decorated a few cookies for her to share once she went back to work.

  • Once you’ve baked your cookies and have let them cool completely outline each one of them with the white royal icing.

  • After you’ve outlined your crazy wisdom teeth cookies, flood them with the white royal icing so they’ll be ready for their cute little face.

  • Once the cookie is flooded, use a turkey lacer to smooth out the icing and to pop any air bubbles you see so you’re cookies will dry with a nice smooth surface.

  • While the icing is wet add the candy eyes.

  • When you’re adding royal icing transfers to your cookies it’s much easier to add them when you use food tongs or tweezers so I suggest you find a good pair you like. I bought these on Amazon and I really enjoy using them! I’ve got another pair I like just as much and they’re very helpful for projects like this.

  • Add the white royal icing transfer for the nose.

  • Let the royal icing dry completely.
  • Place your sugar cookies in front of a fan to help the icing dry with a shine.

  • Once the icing is dry it’s time to add some cute cheeks.
  • Use any color of luster dust you’d like for the cheeks. I chose Pink Heather Luster Dust because I like the color. All you need to do is move your paintbrush in a circle and then blow off the excess dust. I usually fold a piece of paper in half and wave it really fast over it to blow off the extra because It’s a good food-safe way to make the dust fly!

  • Then, draw a mouth with the thick end of the edible pen.

  • Keep in mind this isn’t the only fun little face you can make for your cookies because making different faces is super simple and an easy way to add a little attitude and expression. I hope you get a chance to make them because watching everyone laugh and smile at them is really fun.

See, I told you they look like they have a lot of character. The ones with the glasses are true wisdom teeth because they look super smart.

I hope you don’t have to have your wisdom teeth removed, but if you do, you can make some crazy wisdom teeth cookies to enjoy after you heal!

Bear hugs,

Lisa
