What happens when you juggle cookies?
What happens when you juggle cookies? Okay, I don’t really juggle cookies, but if I did they would look like the baseball and basketball cookies below. I know we all have to juggle a lot of things these days because that’s the way things work out. The only problem I have is when I try to juggle multiple things for my business it isn’t always pretty because sometimes I drop the ball. I get distracted and don’t have time to answer emails and comments, but I promise there is an end in sight. I’m working hard to get things caught up and I’m making a promise to stay that way.
You might be asking yourself why I wanted to juggle in the first place. I know when things get busy that I might drop the ball, but that doesn’t stop me from working hard for you and making things you’ll like. I want to help you learn about cookies, royal icing. cakes, buttercream and everything sweet that makes people happy. Doing that requires me to juggle.
As we all know life can catch you by surprise and before you know it you’re juggling cookies. The proof is in my blog comments and email list because I haven’t kept them up. I want to work hard for you and answering your questions is important to me. I don’t want to miss out on helping you all learn so we can change the world one cookie at a time. So let’s take a minute and dive right in and see what else has been going on and what’s happening here at The Bearfoot Baker blog.
Before we get started I want to say I’m sorry. If you emailed me or left a comment and I didn’t respond, well that’s not like me and I’m sorry. I am going to spend the next few days catching up and I’ll answer all the questions I can. And if I don’t have the answers, I’ll find someone who does. So please forgive me and stick around because there are exciting things in the works. I really think you’re going to like whats happening!
Here is the part that makes me sad. I really don’t know how to tell you this because I’m seriously disappointed. They say when you rip off a band-aid you should do it quick so let’s give it a try. I won’t be able to make it to Cookie Con this year. I was looking forward to it and planning on coming, but something happened that requires me to stay home. Not seeing all of you is breaking my heart. I’m going to work my hardest to be at the next one.
Try not to be sad because I’m sending something to Karen and Mike for a giveaway. I won’t spoil the surprise so let me know how much you like it once Cookie Con is over. You are going to have a blast and I can’t wait to hear and see all the cookies you guys have made on Facebook and Instagram. Have fun for me and I’m sending you’ll lots of LOVE!
Are you ready for my big news?
I’m adding a new page called The Cookie Network to my blog. It will be ready soon and I can’t wait! It’ll be full of tutorials for beginners, intermediate and advanced decorators. The best part about it you’ll be able to find everything in one spot. I’ll post announcements on Facebook and Instagram with the release dates so keep an eye open. Who knows, there may be a giveaway with something really cool!
What happens when you juggle cookies?
- When I juggle cookies it isn’t an easy task for me to do, but in the end, we’ll get The Cookie Network page that will make things easier for us to find.
- I forgot to tell you that my hubby and I are building a house. We are designing a studio with lots of lights, shelves, and a little kitchen so we can make whatever we want. Talk about exciting news! I’ll show you some pictures as we go.
- I’m also getting ready for the holidays sketching cookies and planning a few giveaways. There are a lot of fun tutorials and some other exciting things happening so get ready!
- The Cookie Network, The Power of a Cookie Podcast, and holiday tutorials are all coming your way! I hope you’re ready!
How exciting for you! A new house and a new blog. Can’t wait to see ?
Sounds exciting! Sorry I won’t see you a CookieCon. I’ll always remember how nice you were to me at the first CookieCon.
What rolling pin do you use?
I’m totally in love with The Cookie Countess Precision Rolling Pin. Here is the link to the one I have:
https://www.thecookiecountess.com/products/the-cookie-countess-precision-rolling-pin. I did a post on it here:
I also love the J.K. Adams 19-Inch-by-2-Inch Maple Wood Rolling Dowel because it’s the same width all the way across the pin. Here is a post about the Basic Cookie Decorating Supplies. The rolling dowel is #3.
Let me know if you have any more questions. 😉
Thank you. You didn’t mention JK Adams in your Cookiecon presentation last yr so I was going to bring one to Cookiecon for you this year.
Hello Lisa….what exciting news…..but I was only thinking last week and abut to e-mail to see if you were attending CC this year….so sad you can’t make it and will definitely be missed. I was on the wait list and managed to get a ticket not long after. Also attending some classes. I have slowed down on Cookie making, 2-3 am bedtime does not work for me anymore and raised my prices. Heading to KAF in Vermont in October, love making bread so will be attending another class there. All the best with the house build, we just had a new kitchen installed upstairs. Look forward to seeing all the pictures along the way. Hugs Claire xx
I think it”s fantastic! I echo the sentiment that I look forward to that day as well. I love your portrayal of the half day school schedule. It”s really tough to juggle pickups/drop offs and nap times! I have a first & 3rd grader, preschooler & 11 month old. I cherish the time I get to spend with my little ones, but I long for uninterrupted solitude or project time! Playing taxi driver (no buses here, but a little too far to walk & make it to school by 7:30) and hauling little ones in and out of the car in various states of sleep or I-woke-up-before-was-ready has made me consider homeschooling on more than 1 occasion!
You are busy juggling a lot of exciting things! I can’t wait to see everything and learn from one of the best! A new house with a custom studio sounds like a dream, my friend! ?❤️
