Labor Day Cookies You Still Have Time to Make

Simple Labor Day Cookies are on the menu this year. I want to make something fun that’s quick and will leave an impression on my Labor Day guests. Since we are going to cookout, I asked myself what are the three things you need at a cookout? Hamburgers and hot dogs, watermelon, and ants of course! Sometimes you don’t have time to think about designs all day so I find myself relying on some of my favorites.

Watermelon Platter Cookies:

Believe it or not this Watermelon Cookie Platter is one of my favorite platters for a couple of reasons. It’s unique, simple and can supply any number of guests with a proper serving of cookies. It doesn’t matter if you have 10 people or 200 people, you can customize this platter for your party needs.

Another reason it’s one of my favorite cookie platters is because the cookies are all fun little circles. No difficult shapes or no need to keep count of each shape as you cut them out because they are all the same. EASY!

BBQ Cookies:

Everyone needs to eat a good hot dog or hamburger when you at a cookout, right? Who says they have to be actual BBQ Hot Dogs and Hamburgers? I think a good old fashioned hot dog and hamburger cookie can take their place, don’t you? Let’s face it, Labor Day Cookies are just as important as a real hot dog and hamburger. Anyway, they taste great so they are a must!

Ant Cookies That Stand Up!

Now let’s talk about the reality of eating outside. You know there are going to be unwelcome guests trying to fly and crawl around your plate to steel some of that amazing food you all made. I don’t like things that crawl on the table and fly around my face. Maybe would should make a giant fly swatter cookie to bounce those little bugs out of our life, but I know that won’t work. So the way I see it is, let’s make an Ant Cookie that Stands Up! and use it to scare them away. You know, like their own creepy statue that will convince them to move along or they will ‘get it.’ And if they know whats good for them, they will run like the wind!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your friends and family.

As we celebrate and enjoy time with our friends and family this Labor day, let’s all pray for those in the Huston area. We love you all and pray for your safety.

Bear hugs,

Lisa
