Savor Summer Cookies
Do you know when Fall begins? September 22nd! It is still a couple of weeks away. Fall is my favorite season but, wonderful things happen in the summer. I want to take a few minutes to “Savor Summer!” Summer is a time to relax, slow down, play with the kids, ditch the normal routines, go swimming, and eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies.
I know most schools have already started and the routines are back to normal but, let’s take a minute and savor summer with a  quick look at some wonderful goodies you all made this summer. I can’t get some of these amazing creations out of my head so I want you to get them stuck in your head so we will be thinking about beautiful summer goodies together! Seriously, why should I have all the fun;) Let’s begin!
Vicki of Sweet Tweets made this super cute set of summer cookies! I love the design and she picked the perfect colors to use! I can almost hear the music from the Ice Cream Truck!
My jaw hit the floor when I saw these cookies by the uber talented Jill FCS! Summer for my family includes many, many hours of board games but, none of them were this fun!! 
How about a hot air balloon ride with Angela from Oh Sugar Events? I would love to ride in a hot air balloon and take these beautiful cookies along as “The Official Hot Air Balloon Snack!” Love the colors and each and every detail of this masterpiece!! 
What is summer without a little character? Cookievonster made Mater!! I mean she made me fall out of my chair when I saw this awesome Mater Cookie!! I think old “Walt” would be proud of this guy! Check out her shop. You will be amazed! 
I see beautiful butterflies every day in the summer but none are as lovely as these from Ali at Ali Bee’s Bake Shop! Ali is giving nature a run for her money! Who knew a butterfly cookie could be stunning? Well, we all know now;) 
I know if you have kids, you have been outside catching some kind of bug. I would like to catch these inchworms from the Partiologist.
Nothing says summer more to me than watermelon! Callye at Sweet Sugar Belle always blows my mind! She can take any cutter and design and make something spectacular!
How about Strawberry Blueberry Mini Cheesecake Trifle from Glorious Treats? I am dying over here! Maybe Fall isn’t my favorite after all! I want strawberries and blueberries in the winter so I can have these babies all year long!!
We all know summer is full of things that go bump in the night. What about other things that make creepy noises that make the little hairs on the back of your neck stand up? Well, these are friendly owls and you can see how to make them yourself here.
Can’t have summer without a cookout! Look at this cute hamburger and hot dog cookies from Pam at CookieCrazie.
I can’t live one day without some kind of candy! Even if it is eye candy! Well, LilaLoa gave me “Candy Eye Candy” this summer. She always makes me laugh and she has the cutest cookies on her blog!
I could go on all day posting super summer goodies by amazingly talented decorators like these ladies but, I know you have something to do today because the routines are back! This is just mine little reminder to enjoy all the wonderful things summer gives us. It will be gone before you know it;(

Do you want to hear something lame? This whole time in my head I thought you lived out WEST somewhere….and I know I should have know you were in the smokies! We are so much closer than I thought! We need to plan something in Tennessee….it’s so beautiful! (Okay, I could do without driving through Gatlinburg, though!)

Beautiful collection of summer cookies from some wonderfully talented bakers. Summer is my favourite season and I’m a little sad that it is coming to an end. When the Fall colours have given away to dull grey days I should come back here and look at these cookies for a pick-me-up 🙂
I’m totally in summer-ending withdrawal. My son still hasn’t started school, so I figure I can milk a few more days out of the season. We’ll probably go to the beach or something for Labor Day and wonder why everyone is staring at us.

Summer is my least favorite season so I’m not sad to see it go, BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE these cookies. They are so fun and fresh and make me plain happy. Now… bring on the sweater weather! 😀
