That blue is wonderful! You know there will more cookies baked! Miss you!
I love the dried rose color! It is so wonderful of you to offer this!! Hope you are feeling great!!!
My favorite color of KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is mint green as shown in the contest photo because my mom had a green Kitchenaid so that color makes me think of home. Hers was a darker avocado green but still beautiful.
My favorite Christmas dessert is British plum pudding. It’s not for everyone but we had it every Christmas growing up so it’s became a tradition.
I have a handheld mixer but a stand mixer would really up my game in the baking category.
I changed my mind—my favorite color for the KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is Cardomin. It’s still green but a earthier, more subtle green—love it!
Empire Red is absolutely beautiful!!!
I also really like pecan pie as a Christmas dessert. I always top it with totslly unsweetened whipped heavy cream. That cuts the sweetness of the pie a bit.
That sounds really good Christina. Pecan pie is really sweet.
Good luck!
I love the Empire Red Artisan® Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. And I love you Lisa. This is so nice of you to do. I am an avid fan of all your cookie designs and helpful hints. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. My birthday is Dec. 18th and what a present this would be.

I always play it safe and low key!! Classic White would be my choice , no need to replace if color of kitchen changes etc. Thanks for chance at great giveaway!!
I would be really excited to try the different Kitchenaid attachments—the fine whisk for meringues and the dough hook for making bread.
Pistachio is my favorite color
Hope you are doing well!
Definitely the Silver!
It is very interesting how everyone has such varying color preferences.
lavender cream
Favorite dessert is “angel slices” sort of a pecan pie in a bar, and I’d still love an Empire Red Kitchenaid. I need to upgrade the one I have to the tilt version!
I didn’t realize they came in so many colors! The mint julep is cute!

I love the Lavender Cream and Blue Velvet color on the Kitchen Aid mixers. Would love to win!
I just checked out the medallion silver color and that is really pretty too, but I still think cardamom is my favorite color. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving—I’m looking forward to the rest of the holiday season too.
My wish to Santa I’ve conveyed,
assistance with treats all handmade, a tool that is the most high-grade, a beautiful cardamom Kitchenaid!
I absolutely love the Blue velvet!
At the age of 78 on Dec. 18th, I need all the help I can get. My fav color is red.

Matte dried rose is beautiful 😍 thank you for this opportunity ❤️
As I mentioned earlier I prefer the black one.
Since mine stopped working yesterday any color will do. After 16 years my Kitchenaid retired. It was a wedding gift which I cherished a lot.
Ugh Dried Rose is stunnnning. But in reality I’d have to go with my second choice Cardamom, it matches my kitchen beautifully. Hahaha
If Empire Red is gone, I’d take a blue one, maybe Blue Velvet or Cobalt Blue (though I don’t see Cobalt Blue on the website anymore).
Absolutely love Green. What a wonderful birthday present this would be.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That blue steel is lovely
The lavender Cream is so pretty as well. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
OOH LA LA THAT PASION RED🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Mint Julip 💚
I would LOVE a KitchenAid mixer! Cobalt blue is my favorite, but I also love red!! 😍
My favorite is still cardimon green but cobalt blue is so very pretty too
Kitchenaid mixers have the best shape/design. They have a commercial grade design with a lot of pretty color choices added.
Passion red 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love the Mint Julep. My handmixer broke and I was eyeing this as a replacement. I ended up buying a handmixer (in mint) as I found it on a sale on Black Friday. Would still love one of these!
Ice 🧊
Empire Red
Cobalt blue. Love it!
I really love the cobalt blue also
I love the blue velvet color!! 🩵
I saw a red one today and still like purple or white! LOL
Lisa you are so great to do this for us. So many fun colors. I wonder if they make a half purple half white?
A few weeks ago we had a giant bear at the barn here in CA. I have him on the game camera. I have seen your bears. This guy looked big and mean. I think he would like purple mixers. LOL
We also had a mountain lion on the game camera the same day as the bear. I think the lion would like white since it was just his white shadow on the camera since he was so close to the camera. I am not sure what color he would like Probably red because that is the color of my chickens if he eats them. I think he would need opposable thumbs to be successful so I am guessing he’s let me choose the lavender.
The game camera also caught 2 foxes playing. They I bet would like yellow because they are always in the dark and would like some sun. They like my garbage too. If they win I would take yellow but it isn’t my first choice.
Now the tuckiest creatures on the game camera are the racoons. They have eaten my chickens so they need to be ineligible for the contest. I will choose for them since I don’t care what color they like. Lavender for the win.
Now the coyote is a loner. He comes every few nights and looks at my cats that are safe in a giant metal cage (coop). I bet he would choose black because he has a black heart. He wants my chickens and my cats. He would definitely would eat any cookies I made with the mixer but I imagine he would bake cookies to lure my chickens out and then snack on them.
My favorite visitors are the doe and her fawn and then a doe and buck pair. They come in for water and sleep near the house for safety. He reminds me of Bambi grown up. I the deer would choose green because they love anything green like my roses. I let them snack on the roses and don’t chase them away because they are cute. The fawn plays with the barn cats and eats the acorns we have. Big year for acorns so they are packing it on for the winter like I did at Thanksgiving.
Let’s see, who is left? Well we have the occasional skunk and I bet he is friends with the Bambi buck. I definitely don’t want to see him in person. I think he would like pink because he likes to smell flowers I think. Who doesn’t love flowers?
I think the lsat big predator I have on the game camera is the BIG bobcat. He comes in for water so I ended up dumping all the waters out because I know he likes chicken. Am I mean, maybe? It finally rained a little here in CA so the creeks have water up in the back. I definitely think they need to stay way in the back away from my barn. He probably would like a brown mixer to match his coat. I wouldn’t want anything that dull, so I would trade the brown for lavender!
Ok Lisa. I think I covered all the critters that I have seen lately. I will keep my eyes open. No rattlesnakes in the yard this year, only a gopher snake. Do lizards count? They are super fast and I bet the mixer would be fun for them to race inside of as long as they stay to the edge and not get chopped up into the RI. Reptiles would like a sone color to hide in but that color doesn’t work so I guess a yellow because they like some warmth.
Whoops I did not proof read. The lizards would like stone color. LOL I am still a purple color wheel girl.
Orange or pink or red, I love them all.
Has anyone started baking ahead for the holidays? I’m making a couple of batches of lemon bars because they freeze very well so like making them in advance.
Does anyone have a recipe they got from their mom that no matter how hard you try it never comes out the same? I do – it’s my mom’s baking powder bisquits. Hers are the best and Ii just can’t duplicate them.
I wish we could attach photos to the comments so we could share each others baking adventures.
I think I’m the only person who favors the Cardamom green color—cobalt blue is a very close second too 🙂
My kids and I absolutely love Christmas. The lights the family the music. They love Christmas music. Carrie Underwood and Mariah Careys specials play on YouTube all year. I hope they find partners who love Christmas as much as they do.
MINT JULIP
During Christmas break we decorate sugar cookies, gingerbread houses and gingerbread men. I make the frosting in the stand mixer. I have had this mixer for about 18 years. Time to get a new one.
MINT JULIP
Safeway carries huge gingerbread men. I want to say they are like a foot and a half. The kids love the huge gingerbread men.
MINT JULIP
Wow, that is a big gingerbread man! I will go to Safeway and check them out.
Each year my kids wear matching pajamas and take pictures with santa. My 3 adult boys won’t do it anymore. My 15 year son I thought wouldn’t do it this year. When I asked him he looked at me like I was crazy. And said “WHY WOULD I NOT?!” I think these last 3 boys love Christmas times as much as I do.
Lavender Cream
so cute…
My favorite color is pink! I’ve been wanting a kitchenaid mixer for a long time! Fingers crossed!
The stand mixer was invented in the early 1910s by Herbert Johnson, an engineer at Hobart Manufacturing Company. In 191 the Hobsrt Company started the Kitchenaid brand.. Hobart was known for heavy duty, quality, and reliability and I think Kitchenaid continued that quest for quality.
My mom came from England so growing up we had a lot of British Christmas traditions. Having Christmas Crackers (like a party favor) at the Christmas dinner table is a favorite. We also celebrate my favorite American holiday—Thanksgiving. They don’t have that in England.
Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, I love all the beautiful lights and it’s my favorite time to shop in-store to see all the decorations.
I actually own a Hobart toaster (the company that started Kitchenaid). It’s commercial-grade with a really simple boxy style. It is so durable – we just love it.
My mom always made sugar-press cookies every year at Christmastime. I have never tried to make them but I think I’ll give it a go this year. They are so delicate and buttery-rich, with a very light sprinkling of colored-sugar crystals.
I have always wanted to use yellow in my kitchen so I guess I would choose Majestic Yellow although I really like all of the colors! Yellow seems so sunny and happy and makes me want to bake!
I would really love to win a Kitchenaid stand mixer. My two nieces also want one.
I think you can make homemade butter in a stand mixer too. That would be so fun to try to make.
Another Christmas treat I love are mincemeat tarts.
I wonder if most people try to match their Kitchenaid stand mixer with their kitchen color scheme, or if they just choose the color they love best?
I like the homemade Eggnog Cheesecake bars that are made in our family each year.
My dad used to make a KILLER eggnog. It had alcohol in in but also a dozen eggs and a gallon of vanilla ice cream. The best ever!
I make gingerbread bars with a cream cheese frosting, and these are one of my husband’s favorites.
I like the darker blue colorway–Cobalt Blue.
Thank you for the fun KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer Giveaway!
ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ. I LOVE COOKING WITH BAREFOOT BAKER + KITCHENAID

Has anyone made popovers to go with Christmas dinner? They’re so easy to make and give a dramatic presentation.
It’s cold but sunny where I am today – puts me in a holiday mood. Would love to find a KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer under the tree 🙂
Nicely decorated and packed Christmas cookies make the best gift to share with friends and family. All ages love them!
Pink! That’s my fav
I keep checking out the colors and I really love Cardamom, Porcelain, Contour Silver, Cobalt Blue, and even Juniper. They are all so gorgeous and would cheer up any kitchen.

I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE THESE CUTE BEARS
I want to bake butterhorns for the holidays. I’ve never made them before but they are yummy!
Homemade marshmellos are very easy to make. You can cut them into large squares that go great on top of hot chocolate. I made them last year and they are surprisingly easy to make.
Thank you Barefoot Baker for the chance to win a Kitchenaid stand mixer 🙂
Lavender Cream, and Majestic Yellow are my favorites! 🙂
Blue Velvet please!
Blue Steel please!
Cast Iron Black please!
Grey please!
Metallic Chrome please!
Contour Silver please!
Milkshake please!
I like Milkshake too—it a little softer in color than bright white.
A red, green, silver or white Kitchenaid stand mixer would look so pretty under the tree.
As of now, still partial to Cardimom green
Good morning Barefoot Bakers
Cardimom green 🙂
Fingers crossed for the the KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer Giveaway
I think I’ve spelled Cardimom 10 different ways in these posts
ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ Some Barefoot Baker fans
I temd to like the green colors most, but like blue and white also
Milkshake!
Contour silver!
I love that you’re doing this again this year Lisa! You are so thoughtful to all your followers. Not trying to enter the drawing, just wanted to pop in and say how much I love you and miss you😘
Ice is absolutely beautiful but I would probably go with Medallion Silver or Grey.
These contests are a lot of fun!
BAKING WILL REALLY START RAMPING UP AT MY HOUSE STARTING NEXT WEEK. MANY FOR GIFTS TI FRIENDS BUT I ALSO LOVE MAKING THINGS AS MUCH AHEAD OF TIME AS POSSIBLE
Barefoot Baker, cookie maker, contest spinner, hope I’m a winner
The silver and white options are very pretty too
A kitchenaid stand mixer is a great spluge gift
I ,ean Bearfoot Baker of couse – sorry for the typos
ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ These fans are very happy that I corrected the spelling to BEARfoot Baker 🙂
I am so sorry Lisa, you are The Bearfoot Baker. Barefoot just got stuck in my mind.
I’m Beary sorry I previously misspelled Bearfoot Baker
My favorite holiday dessert is gingerbread!
My favorite color is feather pink. I am obsessed with all things pink.
Lemon bars are a Christmas treat I make every year – they are really good.
I think you can attach more fittings (like a meat grinder) to that piece that sticks out on the top front which would be very useful.
Yikes! I don’t think Cardimom is available in the KitchenAid Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, so Milkshake, Pistachio, or Contour Silver are my favorites.
My favorite tip from your 5 Tips to Perfectly Decorated Cookies is weighing ingredients. It makes a lot of sense and I think accurate measuring is really important in baking.
I love the orange color!! I have been using your recipes with my girls since you posted. Thank you for making me a better baker for my girls.
Hi Lisa!
You’re so sweet! Thank you for sharing your baking experiences me. I’m so happy you bake with your girls. I love baking and making memories like that with my kids and grandkids. You will cherish those forever!

KitchenAid is an American home appliance brand owned by Whirlpool Corporation.
The company was started in 1919 by The Hobart Manufacturing Company to produce stand mixers; the H-5 is the first model that was introduced.
The company faced competition as rivals moved into this emerging market, and introduced its trademarked silhouette in the 1930s with the model “K”, the work of designer Egmont Arens.
The brand’s stand mixers have changed little in design since, and attachments from the model “K” onwards are compatible with the modern machines.
The idea of a stand mixer was formulated by Herbert Johnston, an engineer working at the Hobart Corporation.
He had been inspired after seeing a baker mix dough, and thought that there must be a better way of doing the task.
In 1914, development began, and soon the model “H” mixer was launched for industrial work.
The U.S. Navy ordered mixers for two new Tennessee-class battleship, California and Tennessee, as well as the U.S. Navy’s first dreadnought battleship, South Carolina. In 1917, Hobart stand mixers became standard equipment on all U.S. Navy ships, prompting development to begin on the first home models.
The first machine with the KitchenAid name is the ten-quart C-10 model, introduced in 1918 and built at Hobart’s Troy Metal Products subsidiary in Springfield, Ohio.[
Prototype models were given to the wives of factory executives, and the product was named when one stated “I don’t care what you call it, but I know it’s the best kitchen aid I’ve ever had!”
They were initially marketed to the farmhouse kitchen and were available in hardware stores.[3] But owing to the difficulty in convincing retailers to take up the product, the company recruited a mostly female sales force, which sold the mixers door-to-door.
The C-10 machine was also marketed heavily toward soda fountains and small commercial kitchens, and was also sold under the FountainAid and BakersAid model names.
n 1922, KitchenAid introduced the H-5 mixer as its new home-use offering.
The H-5 mixer was smaller and lighter than the C-10, and had a more manageable five-quart bowl. The model “G” mixer, about half the weight of the “H-5” was released in August 1928.
n the 1920s, several other companies introduced similar mixers, and the Sunbeam Mixmaster became the most popular among consumers until the 1950s.
KitchenAid mixers remained popular, and in the late 1930s, the factory would completely sell out its products each Christmas. The factory was closed for the duration of World War II. After the war, production started up again in 1946 when the factory moved to Greenville, Ohio, to expand capacity.

If I receive a kitchen aid mixer this year, my first order of business would be to bake a red velvet cake, with a generous amount of cream cheese frosting and a blanket of crushed pecans. It would taste like home (I can’t make it home this year for Christmas) to me and remind me of my dearly departed grandmother who made the BEST desserts. Did I mention how much I love the copper and fresh linen combo kitchen aid mixer? 🙂
Not sure if my first comment came up, as I’ve experienced some challenges posting, but just wanted to say thanks once more for doing this in case it wasn’t received. I know it will go to the woman or man that its suppose to go to! But you asked about favorite dessert, I love many and share in other comments, but as a southern belle my favorite hands down is peach cobbler!!
I also love the mixer of green hues. The two tone mixers are my fav, I always love mismatched items. Even down to flavors one wouldn’t assume could go together, which brings me to another dessert fav, vinegar pie! Sugar and vinegar (other ingredients too), yes please!!!
My favorite holiday dessert is apple pie!

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We’re happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say: Are you married?
We’ll say: No man,
But you can do the job when you’re in town.
Later on, we’ll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we’ve made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he’s a circus clown
We’ll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.
When it snows, ain’t it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We’ll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Im dreaming of a white christmas. Never snows where I live, but looking at my flocked Christmas tree brings me joy!
