 I am so humbled that you all want to hang out with me and decorate cookies! I still can’t believe sugar, butter and eggs can connect people from all over this great big world like it does! Some of you (you know who you are) have become my closest friends and it all started with me in my PJ’s with a computer in my lap! Who knew?

    Wow, where to begin? I don’t often crave a sweet dessert but when I do, I want a luscious one! I don’t like desserts overyly sweet but rather balanced. Right at this moment coconut cake or a wonderful apple bread pudding. If it was morning time, definitlely a cranberry orange scone.

    If I were a desert, which one would I be? Hmmmm………I would be a Ooey Goey Snickers cake, you ask WHY a snickers cake? Well, who doesn’t love a snickers cake. It has just the right amount of Chocolate (everyone loves chocolate, except maybe Aliens from outer space), it has the right amount of caramel and it has nuts in it (I like to make people laugh, so this is just my style). YUP that’s it….it would be the OOEY GOEY SNICKERS CAKE!
    BTW, thanks so much for this give–a-way. I just love Karen’s Cookies and Simply Caked and Kopykake, well they know my name and address (that is where I get all my edible printer ink and frosting sheets). AND I love love love your work. Cookies seem to get the best of me, I am more a cake and cupcake decorator, but I havn’t given up on the little sugary bite size snacks!

  79. Great question..since I love lemon, I would say Lemon Curd because it is great on it’s own and plays nice with so many other things…and can be used as an ingredient, filling or just about anything imagineable!

    If I were any dessert I’d have to say an ooey gooey moist yellow butter cake… You can dress it up any way you want, bit its always the same awesome taste! This is not an easy question and kind of reminds me of those ice breakers we had to do back in college… I am trying to think of something really clever and cute but really this just makes me want to go eat a piece of cake or a bowl of ice cream! I guess I will say a bowl of vanilla ice cream (mainly because that is what I am now craving, thanks to you) because it is a lovely complement to other desserts, excellent with toppings, but is also very enjoyable by itself!

  115. SUCH a tough question! What dessert would I be?? Just one? My oh my! My son tells me I should say apple crisp, but I love pie crust so much! Really, though, I think it must be a gooey bar cookie, as bars are my favorite thing to make, everyone wants some when I make them, I have all kinds of recipes I have collected and tweaked over the years, and most have chocolate, caramel, or nuts involved, or all of those, so all yummy goodness! Gooey Turtle Bars is a fave. As are Cranberry Caramel Bars.

    If I was a dessert, I would be a pound cake. It’s totally me in dessert form. On the surface, it seems so unassuming, plain even. But…It’s beautiful even without make-up, or you can dress it up with just a little effort. It gets better with a little age and it is so so rich in flavor and texture. Don’t underestimate a good pound cake! :)

Got the recipe from an old retired cake decorator that kept it a secret all the years she was decorating and then posted the recipe in our local paper when she finally retired! Wow!

  482. First I would like to say thank you to you for sharing your knowledge on designing the cookies. I am new to this, I have been enjoying decorating cakes and cupcakes and cookies for over a year now and I consider it my stress relief from my full time job. I can not eat anything I make due to being a diebetic myself. So if I were a desert I would want to be anything that puts a smile on a persons face and a feeling of “yes that is just what I was dreaming it would be and taste like”. I like making people happy with everything that I bake.

Whenever I saw a pepperidge farm cake in the fridge, it meant someone important was coming for dinner! Just the thought of the sweet flaky crust of the cookie covered in a nice bavarian cream and topped with a rich decadent chocolate frosting make my mouth water. I’ve always been a hugh fan of chocolate eclairs but what better way to celebrate it, than with a new version . . . in cookie form, of course! Yum!!

I have followed you on Facebook now for a while (I’m one of those silent creeper types who oohs and says but is too chicken to comment) and I hesitated to join this giveaway mostly because I couldn’t decide what dessert I’d like to be….there’s way to many options…so i have narrowed it down to seven: sunday- ice cream, Monday-brownies, Tuesday-chocolate chip cookies, Wednesday -strawberry cheesecake, Thursday – apple strudel, Friday -.. funfetti cupcakes, Saturday – left overs from the desserts of the last 6 days! :)

  729. If I were a dessert, I’d be a chocolate creme pie…I lived in North Carolina a while back and absolutely loved the chocolate creme pie from Hagle’s Hearth. This thing was at least 3″ high made with real whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. OH!! made my eyes roll back in my head. Unfortunately they closed and I’ve never been able to get a recipe anywhere close. So if I could be a dessert, I’d be the pie that made people’s eyes roll back in their head!!
