Any Elf Face Cookie Cutter
4 mm Black Sugar Pearls

I bought elf cookie cutter a few years ago at Michael’s. I hope they have them again this year but, in case they don’t, these steps will work for almost any elf face cutter. When I began making cookies, I thought I had to have the exact same cutter as the tutorial I was following had. That is not the case. With a little sketching, you can make it work. I will show you what I mean in a minute.

Elf Cookies by thebearfootbaker.comBegin by using a food safe marker to draw the hat band. Then outline each section with the appropriate color.
Flood the tip of the hat and the hat band and let dry.Easy Little Elf Cookies thebearfootbaker.comOnce the hat band and tip are dry, flood the hat with red.
Flood the face with the flesh color and add the black sugar pearls eyes while the icing is wet.

Then, with the black icing, add the mouth.
Next, add some cheeks with pink pearl dust like Sweet Sugar Belle shows in this tutorial.

Little Elf-Cookies-with-thebearfootbaker.comSee, I used the same steps for these elf cookies as I did the set in the first photo. It worked. These cute kid cutters came from Kookie Kultura. It is a set of 4 kid faces and they are adorable. To make them into elves, just cut out a face and a Santa hat and piece them together.

Simple-Elf-Cookies-www.thebearfootbaker.comAs you can see, I just used the hat cutter to trim off the top of the boy’s hair and added the hat cookie. You could make elf cookies with gingerbread men, an egg, or a circle cookie cutter.

Hope you all are ready to cool off a bit this summer because I have more Christmas in July on the way!

Bear hugs,

Lisa
