Simple Snowman Cookies

Hi everybody! I spent the day playing outside with my grandson yesterday because it was over sixty degrees here. Yep. You heard me, sixty! I love winter and I look forward doing things like playing in the snow, building snowman and eating winter foods like chili sprinkled with cheese. Since it is sixty degrees in the middle of January, I guess I have to settle for making simple snowman cookies instead of bundling up and going outside to make a real snowman.

Making simple snowman cookies can be almost as fun as building a real one outside in the beautiful white snow while you are all bundled up wearing your favorite mittens and your cute snow boots. Okay, maybe the cookie version is not that fun but, I did have fun making theses guys and I think you will too.

Supplies for Simple Snowman Cookies:

Skull Cookie Cutter
White Royal Icing
Royal Icing Carrot Nose
4mm Black Edible Pearls
Paint Brush
Food Gel Colors (AmeriColor or wilton)
Pink Petal Dust

Then, paint the scarf with a mixture of green food gel color and a little water.

I think next time I will add a little shading and maybe paint a vest or, I can keep it simple and use different colors for the scarves. I have to go now because I am going to do a snow dance. Fingers crossed that I see some white stuff this season.

The other snoman in the set was made with this pumpkin head cutter by Wilton.
