Let’s Be Facebook Best Friends Forever! FBFF
I have been frustrated with all the changes Facebook has made and I think there are a lot more changes in our future. I use Facebook as a tool for my blog. I also use it to keep up with friends, family, blogs and website I follow. Lately, I don’t think many people see what I post because I don’t see what others post. But there is hope.
I have been looking at ways to follow things I want to see and this seems to the way to do it. I am not sure if future changes will erase this but, for now it is working for me. At least for “Now.”
How to add and “Interest List On Facebook”:
To see the pages you want to follow, you need to “Add to Interest List.” Everything will not appear on your page all the time but, you can go to your list and see it there.
If you are on a page you like such as SprinkleBakes (she rocks in my book) click the arrow beside the “Manage” Tab.
Then, click “Add to Interest List.”
Click the “Next” button at the bottom.
Now for the fun part. You can name your list and decide who can see it. Do you want it Public? Do you want just friends to see it? Or do you want to keep the info to yourself? Chose how you want it to be seen and click “Done.”
Then, you will see a picture of the Interest List you just created. There is a list on the right with “Suggestions” for other things you can add to the list.
Once you have created your list, you can add all your favorites. Just go to the page you want to follow, click the arrow beside the “Manage” tab, and click the list you want to add it to.
Now you can see your list any time you want. Click it and see what you have been missing.
I know this is a lot of work to add everyone but, it will allow you to follow when someone from your Interest List posts something on Facebook. I have my fingers crossed that any changes they make in future will not delete our Interest List.
I am usually the type of person that does not ask for favors but, I want to be your Facebook Best Friend Forever “FBFF!” So I am asking, “Will you please click my Facebook button and add me to your Interest list!”
I know it is going to take some time to add everyone we want to follow but, it is totally worth it to see all the amazing things bloggers are creating! I don’t want to miss a thing especially with the holidays approaching!
Happy Creating,
Why can’t we all just get along and tweet? :-p
I am working on that! I want to be a Tweeter like you!
These are the best directions I’ve seen for creating interest lists! I just wish Facebook would let our fans see all of our creations… 🙁
I know! You won’t hear me complain on my blog very often but, this is frustrating. I hope this works and they don’t make us do it all over again with something new and weird.
Oh, my gosh! Thanks so much, this is wonderful! I just created a fabulous list! I always need Facebook help, as you are right, they keep changing things, and I can’t find posts.
I hope this helps Nancy!! I wish I could see everything I have “Liked” but I am only seeing about one third. I hope this works for a long time! LOL
These are great instructions! I just made my own interest list! Yay!
Congrats Colleen!! I am so proud of you!
This is super helpful and such easy-to-follow directions on how to do it! Thank you, Lisa!
You are very welcome Mike!!
Thank you for doing this. I have been very frustrated with FB. It’s depressing when you work hard on an idea that you want to show your loyal followers and 1/3 of them or less see it. I always see your fabulous creations because I follow through email. I’m just bad about commenting 🙂
I understand! It is sad when we have already taken the time to “Like” things only to find out they still don’t show in our feed.
PS- I am working harder on commenting also:) We can do it Melissa!! lol
Thank you for posting these instructions! I’m almost finished adding all my favorites!
Yeah!! I am so happy! You won’t miss things anymore:)
How do you know all this stuff?? I could be on facebook for years and never have figured it out!! Thanks for the lesson Linky Lou!
HA!! I tried to watch the Facebook Help video and then hit the ground and started researching things myself. I hope it helps you Kim!!
I created the cookie page to keep that world separate from my personal page. I am disappointed that now the only way I can see cookie posts is to create an interest list back on my personal page. I am beginning to wonder if it is really worth all of this.
I feel your frustration. I am sorry and hope you hang in there. ((((Bear Hug)))))
