Glittery Pumpkin Cookies
Everywhere I look I see glittery pumpkins. I have seen several how to make glittery pumpkin tutorials and it made me want to run out and buy a lot of glitter and give my pumpkins some shimmer. Then, I opened my box of sprinkles and saw the orange disco dust sparkling before my eyes. I knew I had to make glittery pumpkin cookies.
I wanted a cookie that looked like it belonged with any Fall decor and I think these turned out perfect.
Supplies for Glittery Pumpkin Cookies:
Brown 15 Second Icing
Orange 15 Second Icing
Orange Disco Dust-Or you can use sprinkles
Margarita Cookie Cutter
Mini Pumpkin Cutter
I know you have seen me use this margarita cutter before and you will probably see me use it again. It makes a perfect cake stand and candlesticks. I might think of some other way to use it before the holidays are over. Anyway, cut the glass and the pumpkin so the pumpkin cookie will fit together perfectly. Then bake.
If you are looking for a good cookie recipe, this is the one I use and this is the icing I use.
With your orange icing, outline and flood the center of the pumpkin.
While the icing is wet, cover with Orange DIY Sparkle Dust and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Next, outline and flood the outer sections of the pumpkin.
Then, cover them with disco dust and shake off the excess. You can do this on parchment paper or in a coffee filter so you and pour it back into the jar.
Then, with your brown icing, outline and flood the base and the little ball at the narrow part of the candlestick and the stem. Let it dry for about 20 minutes.
Continue adding little groove things until you get the candlestick complete. I have made 3 different kinds to show you that there is no right way or wrong way to do this. Make the candlestick the way you want it or mix it up like I did. The point is, have fun!
I love getting cookie inspiration from home decor. There are so many cute decorating ideas that can easily transformed into cute cookies. I think these pumpkins would look great white sitting on a black candlestick. If you make one, I would love for you to share your picture with me.
