Cute Little Christmas Cookies
I did a post for a friend of mine. Her name is Lil’ Luna and she is so sweet and incredibly talented. I made Easy Elf Cookies for her but, they are so addictive that I had to make other versions. These cute little Christmas cookies are so simple and fun that they become addictive so you have been warned. They make great gifts for teacher especially when you put them in a decorated Mason jar. I am sure your c0-workers would love to get a jar full of these little cute little Christmas cookies that look like elf hats. The recipe is easy and it makes a lot of cookies so you can share them with everyone on your list.
I think these red and green are my favorites but, I really like the trees! Is your head spinning with ideas now? These would be really cute for a birthday party hat.
I want to let you know that this is not my recipe. I am using the Land O Lakes recipe from the Sparkling Candy Corn video they made. I loved those cookies so much that I wanted to make them for Christmas. I did change the flavoring in the recipe because they used orange juice and orange zest and I wanted to add pure vanilla extract. You could also use peppermint extract or other Christmas flavors. Oh, peppermint with red and white cookies! We should totally do that!

Ingredients
- Combine butter and 1 cup sugar in large bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add egg vanilla extract and salt. Continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour and baking soda. Beat until well mixed.
Divide your dough into the number of colors you want to use and add the gel colors and knead until well blended. I used AmeriColor Tulip Red and AmeriColor Leaf Green for the elf hats. You might want to use gloves for this step! Hint, hint!
These are so fun. I love working with colored dough, so many possibilities.
Awwww – so cute! Love seeing them all packaged up, ready to make someone smile!
The little elf hats are too cute! My kids would love them!
I actually had on my list to turn the candy corn cookies into Santa hats, but you DID it and they are SO adorable! Love the elf hats and the trees!

These look adorable! How many cookies does the recipe yield?
Hi Danielle,
This recipe yields a lot of cookies. How many depends on what size you cut them. I got over 100 from each batch. That is why I love this recipe!
I have been looking for a cute cookie to make several dozen of for our youth group cookie sale fundraiser, and these are just what I was looking for! I can’t wait to make them!
