The best part is you only need a small amount of black royal icing and two colors for the snowman and the scarf.

Simple Snowman Cookies

Hi everybody! I spent the day playing outside with my grandson yesterday because it was over sixty degrees here. Yep. You heard me, sixty! I love winter and I look forward to doing things like playing in the snow, building snowmen, and eating winter foods like chili sprinkled with cheese. Since it is sixty degrees in the middle of January, I guess I have to settle for making simple snowman cookies instead of bundling up and going outside to make a real snowman.

Easy Snowman Cookies

I love all things simple. I wanted to make some easy snowman cookies with a little bit of a twist by making 3D noses and arms out of fondant so they would look unique and irresistible. Have you ever seen a cookies that made you fall head over heels for it? Well, I might be weird and the only one that went crazy for a cookie and that’s OK. When Sweet Sugar Belle posted these cookies I knew I wanted to make them someday. I thought about them for weeks. I have yet to make them but, I did make Christmas royal icing transfers so we can make them together.

Love Note Snowman Cookies

One of my favorite movies of all times is “Shop Around the Corner.” It stars Margaret Sullavan and James Stewart. You might recognize the remake movie, “You’ve Got Mail.” I think I like it because it is set in a time where people wrote letters. Even though James and Margaret did not know who they were writing to until the end of the movie, it was still magical. There is something about getting a handwritten letter especially if it is from your sweetheart.

I am not romantic enough to write sweet love letters so I did it my way, cookie style!

I saw so many Christmas ornaments this year that were made from sheets of music and I liked it so much that I wanted to give it a try. These cookies might look hard to make but they aren’t. You just have to start!

Little Old Snowman!

I live in a cabin in the middle of the woods. My house is decorated with bears, barn wood and all things rustic. Why am I telling you this? Because sometimes I fall in love with color schemes that would never work with my rustic style. But that doesn’t stop me from loving them! I can’t decorate my house wiht aqua and blue but, I can make cute little old snowman cookies with aqua and blue scarfs.

I love the aqua and red Christmas decorations that are popping up everywhere but, there is no way I can decorate with them. It doesn’t go with my red and black plaid pillows but, when I decorate cookies, I can use any color I want.
