Gingerbread Men Cookies as Decorations

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and also the busiest time of the year. I try to find simple things to help make life easier since everything is so crazy during Christmas. That is why I was so happy when I was asked to join the Gift of Gingerbread Blog Hop. I was thrilled because I was looking for a reason to share my little gingerbread men cookies that I use as decorations with you.

Aren’t they cute! They are very simple but have a wonderful homemade feel that melts your heart and makes you feel welcome. The only problem you will have is trying to stop your guests from eating them.

Supplies for Easy Gingerbread Men Cookies Decorations:

Icing to hold the eyes and buttons in place

Simple Gingerbread Men Cookies as Decorations via thebearfootbaker.comAll you have to do is bake your gingerbread men cookies. As soon as you take them out of the oven, use the round end of a wooden skewer to make 2 eye holes and 2 button holes. When the cookies cool, tie a piece of fabric for the scarf. Then, add a drop of icing in each hole and drop in the 4mm nonpareils. So simple. Now place them on an old cookie sheet with some pine branches and berries and you are all done.
