Chocolate Caramel Apples
Do you have any idea what I did this weekend? Well here is a hint. I made some delicious chocolate caramel apples that actually turned out exactly the way I imagined. The caramel didn’t fall off. I didn’t have to double or triple dip them. All I did was follow a few simple directions and look what happened.Gorgeous chocolate caramel apples that look like some kind of professional candy maker made. But that isn’t it at all. I made them! It was super easy because I had help. No. The Keebler Elves didn’t show up at my door to make them with me but, something kind of like that happened.
A Chocoley Gourmet Chocolate & Caramel Apple Kit appeared in my mailbox and believe you me, it was magical! They sent me a box with the supplies to make chocolate caramel apples. Almost everything I needed was in the box along with step by step directions to achieve perfect apples. All I had to do was buy some apples and follow the directions.
Have you ever heard of Chocoley? Well, I must have been living under a rock or in the middle of the woods because I never heard of them until I received the sweetest email asking if I would like to try some of their amazing chocolate and caramel. Being the chocolate lover that I am, I replied to the email to see what it was about.
They offered to send me some chocolate and caramel to use so I could see how good their products are. Well, I get offers like this every now and then but, there was something about the way their chocolate looked that made me say yes and I am glad I did.
Supplies for Chocolate Caramel Apples:
Chocoley Gourmet Chocolate & Caramel Apple Kit
Apples- (Use any apples you want. I bought Granny Smith, Joanagold, and Pink Lady and Honeycrisp.)
Hot water with a little lemon juice
Optional- pecans
Once I got the kit in the mail, I went to the store to find some pretty apples. I know I must have looked like a crazy person picking up almost every apple there to see if it would look good covered in chocolate and caramel. I found several that were perfect.
Before you dip the apples, you need to remove the wax coating that is added to make them shiny. There are different ways to do this but, the method I chose was to fill a pot with water and a little lemon juice and bring it almost to a boil. You know, where the little bubbles start to form before the water starts rolling. Next, place one or two apples in the water for about 5 seconds and remove them. Dry them with a paper towel. They will look a little dull and that is what you want.
The rest is easy. All you have to do is follow the directions that came with the kit to insert the sticks, melt the caramel and chocolate and dip your apples.
The kit even included the sticks, white chocolate to drizzle designs and bags to wrap the beautiful dipped apples once they are done. How cool is that?
I am a new fan of Chocoley. The kit they gave me was great but, the best part was the chocolate and caramel were delicious. The caramel was so good that I wanted to cut it up in squares and eat it. I didn’t but, I was tempted.
Let me just say that I will never tell you about a product unless I have tried it and feel like you should know about it because it tastes good and can be used to help create amazing things in your kitchen. Chocoley gave me the kit to try but the opinions are mine and mine alone. The kit made it a pleasure to make the apples. No stress. Just fun.
I love their chocolate and caramel so much that I will use their products in the future. As a matter of fact, I followed the directions that were included and made some turtles for my hubby. He was very happy!
There is one little problem I had using this kit that I though you should know about. I didn’t want to wash the dishes. Instead, I wanted to lick them clean! 🙂 It was a good problem to have.

Love that you made some turtles for your husband with this kit! The apples look scrumptious too but I think I’d just use the entire kit to make turtles too!

Love caramel apples!!! Funny story … today my sister-in-law is making 20 caramel apples. She ordered 5 lbs. of individually wrapped candies and spent a day unwrapping! I couldn’t help but say … “you should have asked me about that!” The kit is such a smart idea, except for the dangerously delicious factor 😉
Raining in my mouth, looks amazing, I definitely do myself this recipe. thank you
I just got my kit today after reading this post. Can’t wait to try it!!!
I hope you love it as much as I do! I need to order more! LOL
