Christmas Punch-Santa Style

When I attend Christmas parties I usually hang out by the punch bowl. I know I am a little weird but, hear me out. It is a great place to be because everyone at the party eventually has to have some Christmas punch thus allowing you to have a one on one conversation even though there are a lot of people around. Don’t get me wrong, I do alright in big crowds but, I prefer a more intimate conversation.

Christmas Punch | The Bearfoot BakerI have already been to a Christmas party this year and the punch bowl area was very quiet. As I stood there waiting for someone to get a refill, I noticed the table didn’t have any decorations on it. Just a bowl of punch and some simple glasses. It was at that very moment I realized I had a problem. I have this need to turn everything into a cookie and there wasn’t anything on this table but a punch bowl and some simple glasses. So what did my mind do? It started decorating the glasses. I came home and made some cute Christmas punch with“Santa Style” glasses. What do you think?

Christmas Punch via www.thebearfootbaker.comI got the recipe for this punch from a friend of mine. Her name is Ashley and she is a nurse at Children’s Hospital. She is great with kids and is an excellent nurse and she makes delicious punch! Thanks Ashley for the recipe.

Christmas Punch “Santa Style”-Raspberry Punch Recipe:

  • Place 1/2 gallon of Raspberry Sherbet in a punch bowl.
  • Pour 1 1/2 bottles of Raspberry juice (we like the 64oz. of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry) over the sherbet.
  • Add 7Up to taste.

To decorate the glass:

  • Cut the pieces for the belt. 1 strip of black paper, one yellow and one smaller black square, and a yellow strip for the belt buckle thing.
  • Attach the black strip to the glass with a few glue dots.
  • Apply the yellow square to the front of the glass
  • Apply the smaller black square on top of the yellow square.
  • Attach the buckle thing.

Dip the rim of the glass into melted white chocolate.
Then, dip them in white sprinkles or nonpareils while the chocolate is wet.

Easy Christmas Punch | The Bearfoot BakerThe next time you are at a party and you see cute glasses by the punch bowl, think of me and imagine how you could decorate the glasses. Maybe bunny ears for Easter?
