I never thought I’d like cash envelopes as much as I do, but once I made them they’ve become part of my everyday routine. They help keep me organized and plan for things I use daily or help me save for things I need in the future. I love knowing that my grocery money and gas money is snug, secure, and waiting for me in the laminated envelopes. 

If you use a hole punch you can keep them in your planner so you’ll always know exactly where to find them. I don’t know about you, but I’m more careful when I shop with cash. It makes me pay attention and it limits my impulse buying and Alan thinks that is a good thing.

How are you all holding up? I know it’s getting hard to stay home while waiting for this pandemic to end, but playing with royal icing seems to create a sense of peace. Making beautiful royal icing roses is a simple way to take our minds off of all the things that are going on in the world. It’s pretty cool to make cookies look at each other. It’s good during Valentine’s Day because adding a little heart in between the cookies is a cute way to show a little love. Another cool thing about it is it can add a little fun and character to your cookie platters. If all the cookies are facing the same directions it’s nice because you have beautiful cookies and you get to eat them. If you have cookies that are facing different directions it’s even cooler. Let’s say you have a birthday party and the customer asked for a car-themed platter. If you flip the car cookie dough it will add a little fun to the design and make the cars look different without any additional cost to you. Just flip that sugar cookie dough and decorate!
