How to Make Fun Frankenstein Cookies with Royal Icing

I have an announcement! I’m sharing this tutorial on How to Make Fun Frankenstein Cookies with Royal Icing and I’m opening my Bearfoot Baker Cookie-Cutter Shop today! I’m so excited I don’t know what to say. I’ve been working on cutters for you for quite some time and I’ll be adding more of them to the shop almost every day! Be sure to stop and see what’s new and if you want me to make something you want please let me know! Did I mention how excited I am?

The best part is I’ll be making tutorials to encourage you and show you how to decorate. You can follow what I do or create your own version. Do you ever look at a tutorial and then spend hours looking for the cutter? I know I have and that won’t happen here because I’ll be making the cutters for us. Over the years many shops have opened and closed or discontinued some of their designs. That won’t happen here. If you need a cutter you’ll be able to find them and that makes me super excited!

I’ll be working morning, noon, and night until I get the cutters in the shop so please be patient with me. I’m so excited to share them with you and I thought this fun Frankenstein would be a great way to launch. There are a few more cutters available right now and I’ll be adding more as quickly as I can. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been doing. Right now, let’s get started with Frank! He’s not the only cutter in the shop and I’ll be adding more today.

I’m back with my first Halloween cookie for the year. I thought a cute skull cookie with fun eyes should help us start the season off right. Adding the ghost and the eyes on the head was a last-minute thought and I hope you like it. If you don’t like the ghost you could add a spider web with cute creepy 3D spiders. Or you don’t have to add anything.

I think I get a thing for eyes when Halloween approaches and these super creepy eye royal icing transfers prove it. In the past, I’ve made eye cookies, eye royal icing transfers, spooky eyes and so many more. I have a plan for these super creepy eye royal icing transfers and I’ll share it with you soon. Until then, let’s make some of these to use on any cookies you choose.

You can make these any color you want. Just make one color of royal icing a little darker than the royal icing color you add to the inside. That is the thing that will make these work for you. Let’s get started.

I’m a little late for Halloween, but I will share these cute black cat photo props from The Dollar Tree because it’s never too late for Halloween. If you need cute props for your cookie photos you should check out the wooden cutouts at The Dollar Tree. They have cute wooden shapes you can paint and use in your sugar cookie photos. I picked these black cats because they’re super simple. There’s a tip at the bottom that helps protect your cats so you can use them over and over again so you should totally check out.

They also have wooden Thanksgiving and Christmas cutouts. I can’t wait to go shopping and grab some so I can paint and make a few more holiday props. Are ya with me?
